The Asset Clarity application applies to any Access/Assets that are in the ServiceNow platform and assigned to a user; whether that be Hardware Assets, Software, Telecom, Access Management or Other Consumables, the Access & Asset Transparency application can be configured to ingest any data being stored in the platform.

The application leverages self-service capability to enable end users to routinely attest to their Access and Assets to ensure that billing accuracy remains valid and that unused Access and Assets are returned and thereby reducing costs across the organization, particularly when users leave or change departments, the application will ensure that only the appropriate Access and Assets remain assigned to the user, or assets are returned altogether for re-deployment.

On average, the application can save \~$70/user (in a typical organization) annually by ensuring Assets are returned and not sitting idle.
