About

The Reduction in Force Separation Employee Experience Pack serves as a blueprint for the process of offboarding multiple employees of an organization during an involuntary separation (layoff). The pack is designed to provide insights to HR organizations looking to roll out a cross-team process for the operational activities that take place after an organization has planned a reduction in force. This pack assumes the list of affected employees and directives have been provided to the HR team as the initial input.

**Problem it solves**

More customers are looking to ServiceNow to deliver best practice guidance and leadership on how to create great experiences during complex moments that matter.

Employees and their managers need guidance through the offboarding process to ensure the efficiency and thoroughness of cross-departmental teams while providing a supportive experience for the employee during the transition. This journey combines activities and content for lifecycle events, tasks, communication, and knowledge template content to better enable managers through this process. It takes the journey one step forward and provides examples and guidance for scenarios where many employees will be going through the similar separation concurrently.

The purpose of Employee Experience Packs is to help explain the power and ease of configuration of ServiceNow to support complex processes and use cases while providing a great experience. The Employee Experience Packs strive to leverage as many of the advanced features of the system, in support of the specific use case, to demonstrate capabilities new customers/users of the system may not be aware exist. The packs are not intended as direct-install processes ready to leverage in a production process flow, but simply to remove anxiety about where to start, or answer the question “what can a good process look like with all the features of ServiceNow?”
